Gulf Coast Merchant, a national provider of Point of Sale (POS) systems, announces the launch of an integrated marketplace for complementary third-party software providers to enhance the company’s core POS functionality.
DoorDash, the nation’s largest and fastest-growing on-demand destination for door-to-door delivery, will be a major launch partner available in Marketplace starting today.
With this integration, orders placed through the DoorDash delivery app will sync directly with Gulf Coast Merchant POS software. By integrating online ordering and delivery services directly with the POS system, merchants are able to eliminate the need for specialized delivery tablets and iPads to manage these services. This approach ultimately saves the restaurant owners money on equipment and frees up counter space cluttered with unnecessary hardware.
In addition to operational efficiency improvements and cost savings, the integration will also improve the merchant’s reporting data because all orders are under a single system.
Gulf Coast Merchant’s Marketplace will include complementary solutions such as marketing automation tools, online ordering and reservations, accounting software, loyalty programs, and employee scheduling software. The Marketplace is part of the company’s Lighthouse Business Management System, an online portal which provides Gulf Coast Merchant customers with extensive reporting capabilities, remote POS system management, a customer engagement platform, and tools to manage the business’s social media presence and online reputation.
